Update: Customer service contacted me a few months after I left the review and sent me another suction cup base. So far it has stayed on, but we haven't had any real hot days either. We'll see if it continues to hold when the weather heats back up. I like the overall design of this and when it works, it does the job. However, I live in Florida and even in the milder months of Sept and Oct, it falls off when I put the phone in it. I have the Note 10+, so it is a heavier phone. It's also mounted on a vertical surface. The only chance I have of this staying in place is to drill it into place. If your car won't get too hot, then this makes for a great holder.
